In the new caching system, nodes that take longer to process (>3 seconds) are automatically cached when you close the file. This is a background process that will silently perform these tasks.
When you open the file again, it will load the cache from disk so you can get started immediately.
Unlike baking, the cache is temporary and cleared as soon as the file is loaded. It is then recreated when the file is closed.
To avoid wasting resources, Dynamic Caching will be optional and you would have to manually enable it for a file.
You will also be able to enable it globally for all files, and define a cache size limit, as well as the cache location.
Dynamic Caching will be limited to 512 x 512 and 1024 x 1024 preview resolutions only. For 2048 or higher, use baking instead.
